A Bit About Me I'm a woman who has a passion for birth, family and women's issues. I find the powers of the mind-body-spirit a fascinating subject and feel honoured to be doing work that is so intimate, empowering and sacred. I strive to bring the best of myself to every situation.
I attended my first birth at age 15 and was captured by the wonders of the process. After attending more births, I obtained my birth doula training through DONA in 2001 and postpartum doula training through CAPPA in 2004. I gave birth to my own child in 2002 and this further fueled my development as a birth professional. In 2007, I certified as both a hypnotherapist and a HypnoBirthing® childbirth educator. I also hold a degree in social work and have continuing education in hypnosis for pain management, fertility, supporting survivors of sexual trauma during the childbearing year, bereavement, Reiki and I'm a certified aromatherapist.
